Spring is almost here, but you still need a little something to keep the chill off your shoulders. Not too bulky, not too thick, it should slip easily over your shoulders on a warmer day or under a jacket on a chilly one. This uniquely constructed capelet is knit flat beginning at one edge, divides for the neck and is seamed down the opposite shoulder. The sideways construction creates a lot of visual interest as the lines shift from horizontal on one side, to diagonal across the chest and vertical at the end. With 2 sizes available, you can work up your ideal springtime accessory!
- Small/Worsted version requires 2 skeins (about 400yds) of worsted weight yarn and 5.5mm (US9) needles with a gauge of 16.5 sts/4in.
- Large/Aran version requires 2 skeins (about 400yds) of Aran/Light Chunky yarn and 6.5mm (US10) needles with a gauge of 12.5 sts/4"
