A nice slouchy hat with a structured folded back brim. The unusual construction of this hat makes it a fun and interesting knit. Make one for a friend or make one just for ewe!
Yarn Choice: The brim of this hat is knit tightly so it will stand on it’s own and keep it’s shape. Pick a yarn that is on the rustic side and not too drapey. When knit at gauge with the smaller needles the fabric should be dense and slightly stiff.
Sizing: Small [Large] Fits head circumference: 19-21 [22-24] inches
Gauge: 20 sts = 4 inches in stockinette st with smaller needles
Materials: • Yarn: 1 skein Black Sheep Creamery Mima 3ply, 100% wool, 215 yds/100 gm, (or other worsted wt yarn) • Set of 5 US size 9 double point needles (DPNs) • 24 inch US size 9 circular needle • Set of 5 US size 5 double point needles (DPNs) • Stitch markers • Tapestry needle
