A simple hat design featuring the iconic Selbu rose. Make this hat two ways: with just the Selbu roses and a plain crown, or with little spruce trees and spoked decreases at the crown. I’ve included charts with both light color dominant and dark color dominant for easier knitting. There are 4 charts in all.
I often make these for people using a wool/ acrylic blend for easy care but pure wool or wool/alpaca blends are also good. The pattern calls for worsted weight yarn but the size can be adjusted by changing the gauge with bigger or smaller needles and yarn.
