This crochet pattern is for a men's polo shirt with a buttoned-up neck and collar. A classic stripe pattern is vertical round the torso and turned 90 degrees across the chest. Short sleeves and hem echo the stripe design in their finish.
The torse is made sideways, to make easy vertical stripes, and the chest is worked from top of the torso upwards. The shirt is made in four pieces and sewn together. The pattern was designed using an DK weight cotton, with accents in a DK cotton/polyamide blend.
The instructions include lots of detail to ensure complex shaping is made easy. There is a lot of stretch in the finished item, so the sizing is only approximate. I have listed this pattern as "Intermediate" because of shaping and pattern techniques.
