I originally designed this little jacket for my grandson. When I was sorting through some bits and bobs in my studio I came across my design scribbles. I thought it was about time it was published as Theo is off to school in September!
I love simple baby garments that are timeless yet modern at the same time. Garter stitch is also my favourite stitch so both are combined in this pattern. I used slightly oversized mismatched buttons on the samples but matching ones look just as nice. The pattern includes instructions for both a girl and boy version. Despite it's name it is a unisex pattern.
I used a heavier sportweight yarn but a fine DK that knits to the same tension can be used.
