Overlay Mosaic Crochet Square - Akatsuki Cloud

This pattern is for an overlay mosaic crochet square that can be used in other types of projects, such as blankets, pillows, satchel bags, table mats, etc.

Please note: current PDF has chart only but will be updated later this month with written row-by-row instructions.

Any yarn or hook will work, depending on the desired size of the finished square. I used yarn weight of 4 with a 5.5 hook, which creates a square of 13.5” x 13”.

You will need 2-3 colors of yarn - one for the background, another for the cloud & a 3rd for the outlines. You could also do the cloud in the same color as the background if you don’t want to do mid-row color switches.

This is a great way to use up scraps! For projects using all 3 colors, you will need approximately 2 oz of the background color, 1-1.5 oz of the cloud color and .5-1 oz of the white outline color, when using a worsted or aran (wt 4) type of yarn.
