This adorable hat and booties set will keep your little one warm and cosy in the colder weather. The hat and booties are knit flat (on two needles) in one piece with the facial features knit separately and appliquéd to the garment pieces upon completion, the hat and booties are then sewn up with one seam at the back/sole.
I used DK yarn and would suggest a wool or wool/acrylic mix. Suggested shades would be a brown and cream marl/flecked yarn for your main colour, a cream shade and a taupe shade for your contrast colours. You will need no more than 100g (350yds) in each shade. I used yarn from my stash, but have suggested Stylecraft Life dk and Stylecraft Special dk, see below.
