Owl Mittens

With over 250 species in the world, owls are found in almost every biome — forest, desert, grassland, tundra, crowded cities. You might even have one living in your backyard keeping the local rodent population under control. These mittens are designed for owl lovers. Your choice of yarn color can make your favorite — a white snowy owl, a great grey owl, a brown barn owl and any owl in-between.

This pattern is written for the MAGIC LOOP, but can be adapted by knitters familiar with working on double pointed needles. There is one set of written instructions and complete mitten charts. Mitten sizes are determined by your choice of yarn and gauge. A worsted weight will make a woman’s adult size, a DK weight will make a smaller size for kids. Cables form the owl shape. Four 8mm beads and two 5/8" barrel beads will create the facial features. Gift tags to print are included.
