Odd-sided octagons fit together with smaller diamond shapes to form an all-over design with strong geometric lines, reminiscent of leaded glass and the golden age of Art Deco.
The pattern is 14 pages long, with lots of helpful hints and explanatory photos. You can use any yarn you like, and make any size throw, blanket, cushion or runner, or even a wall hanging! Full details are given for the example shown in the main picture.
If you use light, bright colours for the “glass” inserts, and a contrasting darker colour for the “frame” the effect will be almost translucent.
