Port Lavaca and Borger Cloths

Here are two showy dishcloth or face cloth for your knitting pleasure! This pattern has two stitch patterns using only knit and purl stitches. This makes this pattern set good candidates for the advancing new knitter. The instructions are written and charted. Use 100% cotton worsted weight yarn for maximum absorbency. These instructions produce a dense fabric that wears well.
Both designs are reversable. It’s hard to choose which is the prettiest!
Port Lavaca is located on Texas’ Gulf Coast, on the west side of Lavaca Bay, an arm of Matagorda Bay. The city of Borger is in the Texas Panhandle. Borger has survived several oil booms and busts. Port Lavaca and Borger are similar in size, located in very different regions, are 700 miles apart, but both in Texas, USA
