Pyhäjoki Sweater is named after the beautiful nature trail of Pyhäjoki near Pallastunturi in Muonio, Finland. The trail is surrounded by majestic rocky shores, running alongside a stream for part of the way. Hiking is rewarding, with splendid views of Pallaskero's mountain landscapes and a lake reflecting the stunning autumn colors during a September trek through the wilderness. The red of alpinen bearberry leaves adds color to the mossy patches, showcasing the northern nature at its best. In the midst of this beauty, a thought arises for the knitter – can this natural beauty and color brilliance be captured in the design and color palette of a knitted sweater? Pyhäjoki Sweater is worked seamlessly top down in the round. The sweater is knitted in one piece with short row shaping at the back neck and back hem to assure a cozy fit and enough length at the back. Sweater has around 10 cm / 4 inches of positive ease at the bust circumference. Note! Measurements are for a finished sweater.
