With this pattern I can combine leftovers from lots of projects and create a visually striking cowl and mitts. The design uses fingering or sport weight remnants held triple which reduces the visual impact of any single yarn and creates an almost impressionistic fabric. The patten includes general guidelines for yarn combinations and quantities required–but emphasis is placed less on micro-managing the details (like color combinations and gauge) and more on casting on and getting those passive aggressive suckers to finally shut the heck up!
Réchauffé is accessible for even the newest knitter--absolutely no advanced techniques are required. The resulting fabric is a surprisingly beautiful, wearable “scrapbook” of projects past.
