This pattern can also be used for crocheting toys from thicker yarn, so if it is difficult for you to crochet using thin yarn, try to crochet using thicker yarn first.
I used: «Slonim» bobbin yarn in 2 threads (cotton+acrylic, 100g ~ 808m, near 42-45sc in 4 inches). Also suitable yarns Gamma «Iris» (cotton, 10g ~ 82m) or YarnArt Iris (cotton, 20g ~ 138m) or floss in 4 threads, beige color. You will also need some light brown thread (hooves, base of horns) and dark brown thread (horns), you can use «Slonim» bobbin yarn in 1 thread (cotton+acrylic, 100g ~ 1616m, near 60-65sc in 4 inches) or floss in 2 threads. You will also need white thread of thin kid mohair (such as Alize Kid Royal) to crochet the chest; white thread (floss) embroider a semicircle beside the eyes and black thread (floss) embroider eyebrows.
