This is an original pattern for a colourful crocheted double thickness potholder with Roger the cockerel on the front. The reverse is plain egg yolk yellow, and both thicknesses are joined by a double row of crochet in green and yellow.
I have recommended 100% cotton yarn, making it safe to stand warm dishes on, and to protect your hands from burns. Measures 9" x 8.5" (25cm x 22cm) plus the hanging loop at the top. Stitches used are slip, single, half double, double, and surface slip stitch. Instructions for all stitches are included in the pattern together with photographs to help you.
