What is romantic friendship you say? Well, in this context it's a cozy cowl to wear around your neck, but in the bigger sense Romantic Friendship is a concept of deep friendship based around a deep connected love.
I first heard about the concept from a friend. She read me a chapter of bell hook's book Communion: The Female Search for Love in the car on the way home from somewhere. It resonated with me in my search for love (see All About Love, my other bell hooks inspired pattern) so I decided to name this pattern after it.
This cowl is great for beginners, it can be worn by oneself (Romantic Love yourself. Naughty) or you can give it to a best friend to show your love for them!
It's also an example of how this lovely barber pole yarn knits up. I've used Cascade Eco+ in shade 9010, and triple stranded it to make this beauty. I've also used a little bit of other colours (in a galway worsted) to add a bit of colour & interest. Extra colours are optional. A substitute shade is shown below.
