This little baby romper is a perfect gift for a new baby. The detachable lace collar means it can be jazzed up a bit for a special outing . Knitting in pure wool baby 4 ply it is very soft and is not a difficult knit and is equally suitable for a boy or girl. The bodice can be knitted in garter stitch as shown here or you could leave it plain in stocking stitch with just a little garter stitch border around the armholes. It is quite versatile. Change the colour of the collar to suit.
