Rowanberry Girl

Pattern for both **sweater and beanie.**We are approching autumn and the rowan-trees are full of berries! In Scandinavia we have a saying; if the rowan-tree has many berries we are going to have a cold and hard winter.
I'll be well prepared for snow and gail in this lovely Aran-sweater. As I detest cold winds to find the way up my back I made the ribbing longer in the back than in the front, and to combine these two I made a curved line that adds a feminine and soft touch.
The sweater is knitted in the round, both for body and sleeves up to armholes, from there it is knitted back and forth.
The aran-motif is easy to make, consists of cables, eyelets and knots - which I think of as Rowanberries! I love the result - a sweater to keep for many years! I always need one of those Aran's ready to hand - for walking and outdoor life. My only regret is that I don't have one in red, or cream, or grey....
The beanie is made bottom-up and in the round, following the same chart
