Red pandas (Ailurus fulgens) are very skillful and acrobatic animals that predominantly stay in trees, they are classified as an endangered species by the WWF, with less than 10,000 individuals. Ruby the Red Panda was designed in collaboration with Louie from Club Crochet in celebration of Earth Day 2021.
The pattern is written in U.S. terminology and contains step-by-step pictures. The main part of this project is worked in rounds so you might want to use a stitch marker to mark the end of each round. There is no specific gauge for this project, just try to keep it tight and even throughout each piece. All pieces are made in Scheepjes Cahlista yarn, but any similar Aran weight yarn will work. This project is worked with a 3.5mm crochet hook and uses 8mm safety eyes. If you use a different yarn fiber you might need to adapt the size of the safety eyes.
