Seascape Hoodie

This is a hooded cardigan for babies and young children with cute ombre stripes at the hem and cuffs and buttons to close. The stitch used is linked treble crochet; it takes a little longer to work than your usual treble but creates a beautiful dense but stretchy fabric. It gets rid of any gaps between the stitches, which makes the hoodie cozy enough to be worn as a jacket in the spring and autumn. It is such a relaxing meditative stitch to work that you will have as much fun making it as the little ones will have wearing it!

The hoodie is worked from the bottom up and the sleeves and hood are worked separately and sewn on. You could change the colour scheme to use some bits and pieces from your stash.
