Designed as part of the curriculum when I was teaching at Amy Herzogʼs make.wear.love - a sweater retreat for knitters, held annually on the gorgeous coast of Maine. It is a great project for trying out colors that you may love, but perhaps donʼt have the gumption to begin wearing.
The cowl begins with a color that may seem odd or daring and ends up with an old familiar, comforting color. I started with a weird yet compelling color called clay and finished with an old favorite navy. You can wear the color youʼre already comfortable with close to your face, and have the one youʼre trying out lower down, close to your body. In between add some other colors which could fall into either category. For mine, I chose two pretty yellows, a steady white and a different version of pink from the clay...a rich one called sorbet that Iʼm more comfortable with.
