This is my original design that I created based on Gonger from Sesame Street. This pattern is purely fan art (flattery in its highest form), and is in no way associated with the TV series. Gonger is best known as Cookie Monster’s sensible chef sidekick in their Monster Foodies cooking show. He’s adorable all on his own, but when paired up with his fellow foodie Cookie Monster (pattern sold separately), he is irresistible!
This pattern is slightly more finicky than my other Intermediate (skill level) amigurumi patterns. You should feel quite comfortable making amigurumi toys to complete him successfully, but don’t let that scare you if you don’t consider yourself seasoned—just take your time and enjoy the process! He is crocheted in rounds in several pieces, then sewn together.
This pattern takes the better part of a 3.5-oz skein of pink yarn, and significantly less of the other colors (white, black, blue)—you may already have what you need in your stash.
