The Shagbark Socks were inspired by one of my favorite trees - the Shagbark Hickory. It’s an easy tree to identify by the shaggy bark that is also useful for bats when they are looking for places to cozy up and
Cables are present on both sides of the leg and continue down into the heel flap. Shown in the pattern was an experiment of mine - I really enjoy this sock pattern but I wanted to see what would happen if I used a larger needle and a slightly lighter-weight yarn. The result is a fantastic pair of lounge/bed socks so keep that in mind if you’re not all that into hiking but still like thick cozy socks!
This pattern features multiple CO’s and you can always modify yarn weight/needle size to suit your needs/desired size.
