Détails du produit

The design on the front of the cushion cover is based on the Shamrock. Known as the national plant of Ireland, the exact species is open to debate but most likely it is a form of clover. Adopted fairly recently, circa 1770s, the plant is often linked to St Patrick when it is said he used it to teach the concept of the Holy Trinity. In fact it may well have older links as groups of three - Triads - were of major significance in ancient Ireland

Worked in stocking stitch the cover requires 1 x 50 gm ball. It is knitted in one piece starting with a small band of rib, stocking stitch for the main section, and finishing with another band of rib.

The shamrocks are knitted separately using I - cords, oddments of darker green yarn (approx 25gm), and stocking stitch. The construction of each leaf is fully explained in the pattern leaflet.

To make up the side seams are joined together.
