Sharing the Porch Swing

Sharing the Porch Swing has a deep, lacy border that transitions into eyelet-bordered short rows of ribbing with an I-cord bind-off, to produce a crescent-shaped shawl with optional ribbon embellishment. This shawl also is handsome with discreet beading.

The finished garment measures about 58" across its top edge, 86" across the bottom, and 20" in depth.

Because of its high silk content, Juniper Moon Farm Findley has a lovely, graceful drape. If you use an alternate yarn, be sure to choose one with an equally nice drapeability. Gauge is not critical.

If you plan to wear this shawl draped to one side and pinned, as the model is wearing it, threading ribbon through the eyelets gives you a substantial base to pin into.

Another option: use beads and ribbon of matching color, but choose a color that contrasts with your yarn.
