Shatar (Mongolian - “chess”) Vest is a modern take on a classic fair-isle vests, design to be unisex in fit and style. Construction Overview
1. Body stitches CO and knit in the round, bottom up.
2. Underarm stitches put on waste yarn and Steek stitches CO.
3. V-neck Steek stitches CO.
4. Armhole and V-neck shaping worked seamlessly, in the round.
5. Shoulder shaping worked flat, shoulders seamed.
6. Steeks reinforced and cut.
7. Neck and Armhole ribbing stitches picked up and knit in the round.
