Shelley - lace scarf and beanie

This 8ply Scarf and Beanie are worked in a gorgeous four row lace pattern. The long, thin Scarf is worked in two pieces and joined at the centre, to ensure both ends have scalloped edges. The easy fit Beanie has a rib brim.

Pattern sizes: Age 2-5 yrs, 6-10 yrs, Teen and Lady.

Scarf width: 14 cm [5½ inches].

Scarf length: 90 (120-140-160) cm [35½ (47¼-55-63) inches].

Beanie to fit head: 52 (54-55-56) cm [20½ (21¼-21¾-22) inches].

Yarn required: 2 (2-2-3) balls Panda Soufflé 8ply, 50g balls@125m.

Needles required: A pair of 4.50mm [UK 7, US 7] knitting needles. Wool needle for sewing up.

Also required: A stitch holder or spare needle.

Tension: 21 sts and 28 rows to 10cm over patt, using 4.50mm needles. These items are worked on larger needles and at a looser tension than usually recommended.
