About the Design: This pattern is really 2 patterns – Shortie Slippers and Faeroe Slipper Socks. The Shortie Slippers are easy to pull on and off, can be worn over other socks, are quick to knit, and don’t use much yarn, so they’re not too costly to make.
I have listed just the sizes for the Shortie Slippers, as the form does not allow for adding pattern option details for the Faeroe Slippers.
Shortie Gauge: 14 sts and 20 rows = 4” (10 cm) over St st with size 9 ndls. with either 4 strands DK or 2 strands heavy worsted to chunky wt. held together. Swatch with 1 strand super bulky weight, as. a substitute.
Faeroe Gauge: 15 sts and 18 rows = 4” over Leg pattern with size 10 ndls, and 2 strands heavy worsted wt. held together, or sizes to give gauge. To save time, take time to check gauge.
