This pattern is for a knitted and felted cap. There is no stiffener in the brim, the construction technique is such that none is required. I've just added a new photo tutorial which shows in detail the peak construction.
You will need about 100 grams of yarn, I have used about 50 grams each of two colours, the choice and number of colours you use is up to you.
This is a fairly complex pattern to start with so not for absolute beginnners. Remember also that it is felted, so you will need to refer to my felting notes and calculations (sold separately) but once you have them you will have all the information you need to knit and felt anything.
