This cowlette version of the original shawl features the same lace patterning, but is knit in the round and can be worn around the neck as a cowl, or pulled down over the shoulders as a capelet, for more warmth. The pattern includes both charts and written instructions. The lace repeat is short and easy to memorize, making this a great project for on-the-go knitting.
Size: S/M (M/L); approximate finished dimensions 11 ½ (14 ½)”/29 (37) cm deep and 34 (38)”/86 ½ (96 ½) cm circumference at the widest part. To fit girls approximately 4-7 (8-12) yrs old.
Gauge: 20 sts and 28 rnds = 4”/10 cm in honeycomb lace stitch in the rnd, blocked
Yarn: One Twisted Tree Prime, 75% merino, 25% nylon (460yd/100g): 1 skein in Frozen Forest of Dean Or approximately 250 (350) yd fingering weight yarn.
