Sound of Leaves

SOUND OF LEAVES socks are knitted from the top down in rounds. The cuff is knitted in 1 x 1 rib. The back of the leg continues in 1 x 1 rib while a leafy pattern band is running on front of the leg and later on the instep. On the sole of the socks all stitches are knitted in flat stockinette stitch. The toe is knitted as barn toe with regular decreases at the sides.

Gauge is 28 sts x 40 rs = 4 x 4’’ (10 x 10 cm) knitted on US 1.5 (2,5 mm) needles in stockinette stitch after blocking.

Finished Foot Circumference 6 (7 / 8 / 9)’’ - 15.5 (18 / 20.5 / 23) cm - recommended fit is 0.25 - 1” of negative ease in circumference, measured at the widest part of the foot.

Any nice sock yarn will be perfect to use. Up to size 7.5 - 8.5 (38/39) you may even get two pairs of sneaker socklets out of one 100 g skein.
