This delicate draping lace cardigan, features 3/4 length sleeves, narrow rib Front edging and neckband, optional patch pockets and ribbon closure.
The lower edging is worked first and sts are picked up with the body worked flat in one piece to the armholes including a rib section at the waist with eyelets through which the ribbon is threaded. Likewise the sleeves.
The lace pattern is arranged in panels of Leaf Shadows and Shetland Leaves. The stitch number for *Leaf Shadows *varies from row to row and so this design is not recommended for those new to lace knitting unless of course you have a very helpful knitting buddy!
This garment was designed in The Natural Dye Studio’s Spyder Silk which is no longer available and was a 100% silk yarn 8ply of very fine silk. BCGarn Jaipur Silk Fino is suggested as an alternative or try www.yarnsub.com for other suggestions, but be sure to check your tension.
