The pattern is crocheted in a continuous spiral and requires knowledge of the following stitches (including increases and decreases): chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet.
Item size will depend on the weight of yarn used. The sample was crocheted with Red Heart Luster Sheen, which is a sports fine (#2 weight) acrylic yarn. Sample size is 8 inches long from tip of tail to snout and 4 inches wide measured between outer edge of front legs.
