This is a surprisingly easy project for someone fairly new to seam free knitting. It's knitted in warm wool and sizes are given for 1 to 8 year olds. I have used King Cole anti-tickle for the gold version, Rowan superwash Pure Wool for the pale blue, and Debbie Bliss Rialto DK for the darker blue and the teal ones. All work well as would any good yarn, because the pattern does not require much stitch definition. The neck is slightly lowered at the front using short rows and a detailed method is given. I have been knitting versions of this jumper for over 30 years for both boys and girl. It is very comfortable and has a timeless charm.
