INFO Judy of Giggling Gecko Yarns is one of my closest friends I’ve met through knitting. An easy friendship with love and encouragment throughout our lives. For me it was clear to design a geometric pattern with flowing, continious and rounded out infinity chains in a metal looking color to emphasize the strength and bond. These are also chains that connect all of us out there who create their circles of love and friendships with one another.
’Strong chains’ is worked flat from the top down, starting with a garter tab. Stitches are increased every row along the edges to create the crescent shape.
The pattern is fully written out with stitch counts and includes a chart for the repeats.
YARN Giggling Gecko Yarns, Sportlandia (100% SW Merino, 100 gr-287yds/262m). Sample yardage, 817 yds/747m in color Gravel Grey.
Or any Sport weight yarn: approx. 809-930yds (740-850m).
GAUGE - BLOCKED 4” (10 cm) In garter stich, 18 stitches x 40 rows. In cable pattern, 25 stitches x 31 rows.
