This basket grew out of my knowing how to make a hexagon base and then learning a sturdy way to make a 90 degree turn to go up the side. I did this a lot with small projects, then found this yarn and discovered it made a really strong basket for storage, so I just added a handle to take it shopping. It’s not a very large basket, because I need to be able to carry it easily, but I think you can see from the pattern how to make it bigger if you want to do that. The handle goes over my arm, make it longer if you want it over your shoulder. It also makes a good place to keep your current knitting or crochet project as it holds quite a lot of yarn.
