Subtle Serpentine Socks

Knitted socks can be the most rewarding knitted gifts to knit. People are usually over joyed to receive such a unique gift and will wear them faithfully - unless, of course, you are talking about men. Men can be the most difficult of all knitted gift receivers. Men seem to appreciate the more subtle patterns, plus they will wear the knitted gift if it has a purpose. Toe up! I like to knit toe up and two socks at a time. Knit from inside the ball and outside the ball. This is my preferred method for a couple of reasons. If I alter the pattern I can be sure to alter both pairs at the same time. I know for sure I have enough yarn for both socks. The best part is both socks are done at the same time!
