Every Tuesday I attend a knitting group hosted at A Wrinkle in Thyme Farm in Sumner, ME. Being surrounded each week by friendly knitters, and a flock of sheep, I was inspired to design this sweater. Sumner is seamlessly knit from the top down, with raglan shaping. At the underarm the body and sleeves are divided and knit separately. While working the body, seamless pockets are added to each front, and joined to the body while working the button band.
Yarn Requirements: Shown in A Wrinkle in Thyme Farm yarn 100% wool / varying oz/grams and yards per skein MC: 16 (17½, 19½, 21, 23, 26, 26½) oz or approx 750 (840, 930, 1000, 1100, 1180, 1270) yards of a comparable earth-friendly yarn CC: 3½ (3½, 3½, 4, 4, 4, 4¼) oz or approx 160 (160, 160, 180, 190, 190, 200) yards of a comparable earth-friendly yarn.
Gauge: 21 sts and 28 rows = 4" (10 cm) in St st.
