‘Sun, Moon & Stars’ is an overlay mosaic crochet design, worked in the round from the center. I’ve made a blanket but you could also make two smaller pieces and attach together for a cushion cover, there are basic instructions included for either.
This is pattern is suitable for an intermediate/ advanced crocheter, with some experience of mosaic crochet and happy to work a larger/ more complex pattern. I enjoy working in the round from the center, as you don’t have lots of ends to weave in or cover like you would when working in rows.
The pattern includes a large chart/ one set of written instructions for working from the center out (with four variations for the moon shape). I also include some charts to work some of the smaller designs from the pattern flat, row by row, if you find working from the center doesn’t suit you. My blanket is 48” / 123cm square and used 2600 metres (plus 220m for the border).
