When my friend Linda saw these fingerless mitts she said they had a heroic look - hence the name!
The mitts are crocheted using slip stitches, which makes them particularly elastic. The decorative short-row pattern on the back of the hand also creates extra width for the arm and hand, so they are well-suited to those who have narrow wrists.
Besides, they make a nice little introductory project for short row crocheting.
