I think you are going to like the way I've designed this hat - there is practically no seam AND it ends almost exactly even on the final round so there is basically no slant/angle to the stitches on the final round :)
The pattern is written in American (English) crochet terms. You can substitute any yarn and hook for this stitch pattern – just remember when you substitute if your gauge is different, the finished size of your project will also be different.
