This adoreable hat in baby sizes is made to match my "Sweet Little Rounded Mittens" and "Sweet Little Mittens" patterns. It is written in preemie, newborn, 6 mo, 12 mo, 2 yr, and 3 yr sizes based on average measurements. You will get the best results if you can measure the baby's head before you begin, but you can use the pattern as written if that is not possible. This hat has a ribbed band around the bottom, and is worked from there up. The crocheted button makes such a cute accent!
The pattern is written in Valley Yarns Valley Superwash DK. 1 Skein of the main color is needed, and only about 10 yds of the accent color. This is a 100% Extrafine Merino Superwash.
You may substitute yarns, but remember that it is best to use a yarn with the same gauge, weight, and fiber content. Also,
