You'll need about 350g DK yarn and five 3cm or 1.5” buttons.
Stitches used: ch = chain, dc = double crochet (sc in US terms), tr = treble crochet (dc in US terms), overlaid chain (tutorial included for this stitch). You will also need to know how to change yarn colour.
