I originally designed this hat for my Level 3 Master Knitting Program submission in a different yarn and using a few different cables. After many gauge-and-pattern test swatches to figure out how to most effectively shape the crown, I finally settled on the finished pattern you see here. I love it even more in the Jamieson’s Shetland Heather Aran than I did in the original yarn that I used!
