I used 2 Aldi Aran Yarn, 400gm balls (approx. 800m). Total usage just less than 600gms for a shawl with pockets and tassels.
This is approx. 1200 mtrs.
7mm & 8mm hook.
My shawl measures 160cm x 54cm when laid flat. Create your own size by changing the amount of stitches as per instructions above. Tension and gauge 10cm x 10cm = 12 sts x 9 rows. You can use any colour and weight yarn for this shawl, just be aware that using different yarn may change the size of your shawl.
