The Bambino Hat is a quick and simple to crochet pattern which produces an adorable little hat to match the Bambino Cardigan. Worked bottom up, this cute little ribbed brim hat is ideal for keeping baby cosy whilst looking super cute.
This pattern uses US Terminology and simple stitches such as half double crochet, double crochet and front and back post double crochet stitches. Knowledge of the foundation double crochet stitch is useful for a quick start and stretchy brim, however can be substituted with a chain and double crochets, which also work effectively.
The Bambino hat works up beautifully in Hayfield Bonus DK yarn (or any soft acrylic double knit yarn). A 3.5mm hook is recommended for this project however check with the gauge to ensure your tension matches this hook size.
