The Laguna Cowl is the first in a collection of crochet patterns that will be released this year. As I was coming up with the series of textured stitches I wanted for this collection of cold weather pieces, I imagined a trip to the mountains. The combination of stitches I use, Cobblestone and Alpine stitches, remind me of Mount Laguna’s pine trees and snowy peak.
This pattern uses the Cobblestone st (tr, sc) and Alpine st (FPdc, dc) alternating each round. Easily customized to the size you prefer.
Gauge - not necessary to meet exactly, only for reference: 13 st x 10 rows = 4 x 4 inch (10cm) alternating FPdc and dc in the round
