Détails du produit
When my twins turned three, they needed kippot (kippahs, yarmulkes, head coverings) to wear at preschool. I wanted to design something that would stay put on their heads without clips, was easily washable, and fun to wear.
Available in multiple sizes from preschooler to adult, you’ll be able to knit these quickly once you master the pattern. Use a double strand of dk weight mercerized cotton yarn and size 3(3.25mm) straight and circular needles for a stiff, firm crown that fits. Work this pattern back and forth, using short rows to form the crown. The edging, worked in a single strand and added last, is knit in the round. This pattern includes notes on adjusting the needle size and stitch count so your kippah can stay put on any size head.
To knit this pattern, you’ll need to knit, purl, make short rows, knit two stitches together, pick up and knit stitches, and follow directions to make simple adjustments to create a kippah that fits.
