Tone Lace Socks

This pattern is for a pair of lace socks. The lace itself is an Aran lace that is just perfect for socks, and comes to us from the Ireland. There’s enough “give” to make them comfortable: they will hug your ankle/leg without being too tight. The unusual lace makes them fun to knit. The back and front are the same until the heel flap.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of knitting and purling, lace knitting, and experience with sock knitting.

The lace stitch is both charted and written out.

This pattern is written for 2 circular needles and is written for sizes Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large, and is sized by gauge (if you want to adjust your size from M, be sure to adjust your yarn so it matches your new needle size). Most women wear socks in size M (shoe size 6 - 9)

The sock pictured here was made with Handmaiden’s Prosecco yarn in colorway, Mulberry, however any light weight fingering yarn will work for this pattern.
