Like the plow or plant rows in a field, the pattern stripes run across the width of this asymmetric shawlette, giving it a striking depth and visual interest. Wear it with jeans or use it to spruce up a t-shirt. This is a wardrobe item that goes with everything. It takes only one skein of fingering weight yarn, so it knits up in a few evenings.

This pattern provides two versions: The longer version is especially designed for the slightly larger skeins of Shirley Brian’s lovely gradient yarn. The shorter version takes the more standard yardage (~400) of a fingering weight 100g skein.
