This is not your grandmother's afghan stitch! This is Tunisian crochet for all seasons. Although it somewhat resembles Tunisian Simple Stitch, and is just as easy to do, this stitch creates a fabric that is thin, drapes well, and does not curl. Full instructions, with photographs, are provided in the pattern.
Worked in fingering weight wool with a size J/10/6mm afghan hook, this neck-warmer weighs less than two ounces. It's light enough for Summer evenings but will keep the chill of Winter away, as well. This pattern also works with heavier yarn and a larger hook to create a more substantial fabric. Either way, the keyhole will keep the scarf neatly in place.
